This renamed selection converts FLAC to PCM WAV, trims leading/trailing silence
with a 1 ms attack margin, fades the last 10 ms, and applies 0.9 gain for headroom. This derivative sample
selection remains CC BY-SA 3.0. Author information and the upstream license and
README are included in `acoustic/`. No endorsement by the author is implied.

## Yuzu electronic selection

FreePats synthesizer percussion, version 2022-07-18, by **Roberto**.

License: **CC0 1.0 public domain dedication**.

Converted from FLAC to WAV and trimmed/faded as above. Original README and
license are included in `electronic/`.

Both selections are bundled locally. No paid VST, subscription, or external
sample CDN is required. Source and derivative SHA-256 hashes, tags, processing,
and velocity ranges are recorded in `src/sample-bank/samples.json`.

## Yuzu DRS Studio selection

Derived from **DRSKit v1.0** by Lars Muldjord / Bent Bisballe Nyeng and Jes Eiler
of DRSDrums. SFZ port and FLAC conversion by kinwie.

This selection uses kick-front, snare-top, hi-hat, tom close microphones and
the left overhead for crashes. It retains the upstream velocity boundaries
and up to two alternate recordings per layer (82 samples total). Changes:
FLAC to PCM WAV conversion, silence trimming with a 2 ms leading margin,
20 ms tail fade, a six-second maximum length, and one gain per instrument to
preserve the relative loudness of recorded dynamics. Author README and full
license are in `drs/`. No author endorsement is implied.

## Yuzu Red Zeppelin selection

Derived from **AVL Drumkits / Red Zeppelin** by Glen MacArthur, under the same
CC BY-SA 3.0 terms and author exception described for the acoustic selection
above. Pinned source revision: b06cb2c27359cbc68a830a82bddced05bd73d1a0.

35 recordings cover seven voices at five velocity layers. Modified by conversion
to WAV, silence trimming with a 2 ms margin, 20 ms tail fade, six-second cap,
and 0.9 gain. This renamed selection remains CC BY-SA 3.0. Complete author
README, license, and exception are included in `red-zeppelin/`.

## The Silence Say It — original song kit

Nine song-derived WAV hits and their playback gains are preserved unchanged
from the original demo kit that Justin endorsed in this task. This kit has
kick, snare, closed-hat, crash and high-tom recordings; open-hat and low-tom
articulations are borrowed from the AVL acoustic bank and retain its credits.

Runtime playback reuses the byte-identical, already-published assets under
`/local-media/the-silence-say-it/kit/`. This does not grant a standalone sample-
library redistribution license. Source timestamps, hashes, and the scope of
song permission remain in the bank metadata. No re-separation was performed.

## Save the Best Part — original hats and cymbals

Six hits extracted from Yuzu Patch's supplied Suno hi-hat and cymbal exports:
three alternate closed hats and three alternate cymbals. Justin approved their
song-context audition on September 13, 2026. Source attacks were trimmed to mono
44.1 kHz PCM WAV with a 15 ms end fade; runtime gains preserve the audition's
levels. The current live pad envelopes shape their decay.

Kick, snare, open hat, and toms reuse DRS Studio recordings with the original
credits and CC BY 4.0 terms above. The six song-derived samples are for use in
this song; no standalone sample-library redistribution license is granted.
Source and output hashes, timestamps, gains, and review scope are in the bank
metadata.

## Rhythm's Edge, Snare Maze, and Keep the Little Things — listening drafts

Each song has three hi-hat and three cymbal samples extracted from the supplied
Suno exports. They are pending listening review. Source attacks were trimmed
to mono 44.1 kHz PCM16 WAV with a 15 ms end fade, then assigned playback gains
for comparison with the existing kit. The current live pad decay remains in use.
These song-use-only samples carry no standalone sample-library license.

Rhythm's Edge and Snare Maze reuse DRS Studio for their other voices, under
the CC BY 4.0 terms above. Keep the Little Things reuses AVL acoustic voices,
with Glen MacArthur's credits and CC BY-SA 3.0 terms above. Source hashes,
trim times, output hashes, and gains are recorded in the sample-bank metadata.

Pocket Groove also has three pending-review hi-hats from its supplied Suno MP3
export, converted and trimmed by the same process. All other voices, including
cymbal, retain the DRS Studio sources and CC BY 4.0 attribution above.

## Song-derived snare contacts — October 8, 2026

Live drums now uses one short snare contact from each song's existing aligned
drum source, superseding that song's earlier snare selection above. Other voices
retain their original credits. The web catalog has sixteen contacts; the offline
native catalog includes only its ten released songs. Original drums still plays
the recording and remains the default.

The accepted playback clip keeps its specific listening approval; the remaining
contacts retain machine-draft status. Preparation uses short source crops, fades
and attack-level normalization, without asserting clean isolation. Exact source
and output hashes, crop times, processing and review scope are recorded in
`song-snares/provenance.json`. The registered audio was approved by Justin for the
existing internal-testing release. Commercial content and model-output clearance
is not attested, and this does not grant a standalone sample-library license.
